I loved to draw a lot when I was a child. As a teenager I started to learn more about art at school: the history, the skills, different media and forms. I was fortunate to have great teachers, and friends who shared my passion for art. It is an amazing memory as well as an important foundation on which I built the person I have become.
After university I joined a humanitarian organisation. Work took me to different parts of the world, opening my mind and heart to different cultures. Drawing and painting became a hobby. For years I picked up my paintbrush only to make gifts for my special ones.
Life has turned out differently than I imagined it would, and I moved to Scotland some years ago. Freed from a busy way of life, I was encouraged by my partner and the little voice inside me to paint again. And so, a new chapter in my life started.
Scotland is such a lovely place. We have been on a lot of walks and trips around the country, and these have given me a love for capturing the nature that surrounds me. Inspiration is everywhere; we simply need to stop, listen, and look. Sometimes I draw and paint outdoors; more often I translate our own photographs and personal reflections into my art. This is my best way to remember cherished moments.
